Abderrahmane OUARDANE (b. 1947) Confiserie vagabonde, 2020. Acrylic on canvas signed lower right. 120 x 120 cm Abderrahmane Ouardane, born in Morocco in 1947, studied drawing and painting at the Ateliers THUR in Paris. He has been exhibiting regularly since 1970, and is also very active in the art world. His painting has often focused on signs, allegories and other forms and traces of memory. Women, nudes and the muses of Imilchil are also subjects that interest him. Two themes predominate in her work: women and vernacular signs and traces. Her contemporary work breaks away from the figurative and focuses on the purity of form.
