Statuette of a Virgin and Child in carved ivory, shown seated, head covered wearing the Child on her right leg. She is holding a ball in her left hand, her garment adorned with numerous deep folds. Colonial work, Portuguese Indies, Goa, 17th CENTURY Height: 10.3 cm (without base) - Gross weight: 219 g. A few missing pieces; small cracks in the ivory; base added.
