Jules Pascin, born in Bulgaria and based in Paris, was an emblematic painter and draftsman of the École de Paris. Nicknamed the "Prince of Artists", he is particularly renowned for his portraits and nudes of women, imbued with delicacy, sensitivity and a certain melancholy. His light, fluid brushwork, often accompanied by subtle touches of color, conveys both the intimacy of his models and the bohemian atmosphere of the Parisian artistic milieu of the time.
