WU Guanzhong (1919-2010) attributed to. Tree-lined shores. Ink and ink wash on paper, signed and stamped with the artist's pseudonym and another stamp. (Mounted on rolled paper, slightly browned and mottled at the edges with occasional tears) 68 x 68.5 cm Re-sold at wild auction. Guanzhong Wu studied traditional Chinese ink painting and Western painting at the Hanzhong Academy of Fine Arts. After a stay and studies in Paris from 1947 to 1950, he created mainly landscapes and everyday scenes from nature. In 1964, he was forbidden to paint. Since the late 1980s, his work has also gained international recognition, thanks to exhibitions in Europe and America.
