RADULESCU Magdalena (1902-1982/3) - Lot 95
RADULESCU Magdalena (1902-1982/3) Vase in Bloom, 1954. Oil on canvas signed and dated lower right (old craquelures) 60 x 50 cm Frame: 78 x 67 cm Magdalena Rădulescu was a Romanian painter of the interwar period, who lived both in Paris and Munich for her art studies. Her work blends modernism, symbolism and Romanian folklore, with carnival figures, traditional dances, almost dreamlike scenes, and more rarely the still-life theme. With her vibrant palette and original style, she has established herself as a singular artist of her time, while remaining unconventional.
