Titled and dedicated on the back. 73.5 x 54 cm (frame: 93.5 x 74 cm) Painted frame (slightly worn at bottom) Philippe Gautier was a French painter whose work distinguished itself in the second half of the XXᵉ century. His style, often described as "transfigurative", blends rigorous composition with pictorial gentleness, turning his canvases into moments of visual poetry.
