ZANELLA Léon (born 1956) - Lot 138
ZANELLA Léon (born 1956) Provence landscape. Oil on canvas. Signed lower left, titled on the back. (small marks) 46 x 55 cm Léon Zanella was born in Marseille, and lives and works in Vaison la Romaine. Trained at the Beaux Arts d'Avignon, he draws inspiration from the light and landscapes of Provence to create canvases in which color plays a central role. His works are characterized by a balance between compositional rigor and chromatic boldness: indigo, madder and chrome yellow meet in a revisited tradition of the Provencal Fauves.
