DALI Salvador (1904-1989) - Lot 150
DALI Salvador (1904-1989) Christ de Saint Jean La Croix. Gilt bronze proof. Signed on the back of the Christ and on the base. Justified "BELG 20/20". Square counter-socle. Total height: 60 cm; height without contresocle: 55.5 cm Salvador Dalí, the emblematic figure of Surrealism, explored religious themes throughout his career, including Christ on the Cross. In several paintings and engravings, he blends Christian symbolism with his meticulous, dreamlike world, transforming the crucifixion into a mystical and strange visual experience. Dalí combines distortion, transparency and meticulous detail, offering a unique and deeply personal vision of this central motif of faith.
