Dutch-born Corneille, co-founder of the Cobra movement, is best known for his colorful, expressive works. In his sculpture, he explores stylized, poetic forms, often inspired by fauna, where the hen appears as a recurring motif symbolizing life, energy and vitality. His sculptural work reflects the same spontaneity and freedom as his paintings, blending abstraction, color and organic forms.
