CAPRON Roger (1922-2006). Rectangular coffee table, shuttle model with orange, white, red and black ceramic tiles and black lacquered metal base. Signed on the top R. CAPRON lower left. 39.5 x 121.5 x 40 cm Roger Capron was a French ceramist and designer known for having profoundly influenced contemporary ceramics of the XXᵉ century. Based in Vallauris, he contributed to the revival of this art form by combining craftsmanship with a modernist spirit. His creations, often decorated with stylized, colorful motifs, reflect a balance between Mediterranean tradition and industrial design. Today, his works are prized for their timeless elegance and their major role in the history of French decorative arts.
