Provenance: Hôtel de la Reine in Nancy, place Stanislas.
Note: Between 1751 and 1755, as part of the monumental development of the Place Stanislas, the Pavillon Alliot was built as a ceremonial building to house Stanislas Leszczynski's intendance. It quickly became a major administrative center and a symbol of power, housing the intendance offices and then, at the end of the XVIIIᵉ century, the services of the departmental administration. During the Revolution and the early years of the XIXᵉ century, the building retained its institutional vocation and housed the prefecture, affirming its strategic position in the heart of Nancy.
Its lounges and apartments, richly furnished and decorated, housed collections of paintings, furniture and objets d'art, testifying to the elegance and representation of power. In 1814, the arrival of Emperor Alexander I of Russia in the pavilion further underlined its protocol importance. After the departure of public administrations in the 1820s, the building became the property of the de Crevoisier de Vomécourt family, and opened its walls to a music school. This institution, present in the 1820s and 1830s, confirms the building's cultural turnaround and the maintenance of a well-established artistic tradition.
