(small chip at the base). Height : 14 cm - Plate decorated with figures. Stamped on the back. Diameter : 19.5 cm Note: Étienne Vilotte started out as a cabinetmaker before becoming a potter and one of the co-founders of Poterie de Ciboure, established in 1919 in the Atlantic Pyrenees. There, he developed stoneware fired in a large kiln, decorated with original glazes and neo-Greek motifs or inspired by the Basque country, marking the regionalist art of the early XXᵉ century. His technical expertise, particularly in kiln design and glaze creation, enabled him to impose his style: sober, elegant, and highly modern for the time.
