LEBADANG Dang (1921-2015) Flowery compositions. Suite of two lithographs on doubled Japon paper. Signed in pencil and justified ET 4/6 for one and ET 5/6 for the other. 76 x 53.5 cm Note: A major figure on the Vietnamese art scene in France, from the 1950s Lebadang developed a singular body of work nourished by both Far Eastern traditions and European modernity. Trained in lithography techniques at the Mourlot studio in Paris, where he worked with Picasso, Chagall and Miró, among others, Lebadang placed great importance on printmaking throughout his career, helping to renew its processes. Floral compositions are a recurrent theme in his repertoire.
