[ASIA] JAPAN, Meiji Period, Atsuyoshi Workshops Bronze vase with a brown patina, in a bottle shape with a pear-shaped body, featuring a relief decoration of a rooster, hen, and chick on the body. A "厚義作" (Atsuyoshi saku) mark incised beneath the base. (Condition: minor chips and dents). Height: 28 cm (with base: 30.5 cm) Note: Signed Atsuyoshi (Atsuyoshi saku), this vase is part of the Japanese art bronze production of the Meiji period (1868–1912), particularly sought after for the finesse of their naturalistic decorations. Meiji-signed bronzes remain a major benchmark in the Japanese decorative arts market today.
