Total gross weight: 10,771 g Note: The historic capital of German cutlery since the Middle Ages, Solingen is renowned for the quality of its blades and its silverware production for the table. The 900-milles silver cutlery sets produced in the first half of the 20th century attest to the expertise of German workshops in working with precious metals, combining practical durability with the geometric aesthetics inherited from Art Deco. The “900” hallmark indicates a higher silver fineness than that commonly used in several European countries for tableware, reflecting a commitment to quality that is particularly valued in the German market.
